First Look at Fall

Saying goodbye to summer is always bittersweet, but we’ll never complain about an opportunity to refresh our closets. And getting to infuse some fall into our looks is always exciting. From chunky boots to fall-perfect prints and layers you can wear now, these are the next-season trends on our radar (which means they should be on yours too). 

Easy Slip Dresses

Our current favorite ‘90s trend? The slip dress. Slips are an any-season-staple that are effortless, sleek, and undeniably cool. They’re also really easy to transition into fall. Just add a layer underneath or add some edge with an oversized blazer or jacket.

Chunky Footwear

From modern and chunky Mary Janes to sparkly booties, make room in your closet for fall’s go-to footwear. Cowboy boots are here to stay (yee haw!) and we’re seeing flats on their way to a comeback. Also trending: modern loafers, quintessentially fall knee-highs, and sleek booties.

Preppy Prints

Even the slightest crisp in the air is enough to break out a flannel or two. But besides plaid flannels, we’re also seeing colorful plaid sets, an updated and cool take on argyle, and bits of houndstooth as well. 

Barely There Layers

It just wouldn’t be a fall trend report without talking about layers. But not the ones you’re thinking, like sweaters and coats. Of course there will be plenty of those, but we’re loving transitional pieces like sheer long sleeve tops you can easily wear now and layer later.
