Store Manager

Prism Boutique is looking for an enthusiastic leader to join our team in the full time role of Store Manager on site at our lovely Long Beach, CA boutique. The Store Manager will lead the sales team through strong customer service and operations, while creating a welcoming and inspiring environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales team culture and day-to-day business operations in the boutique 
  • Lead the sales floor and deliver an excellent customer experience through creating a genuine relationship with our customers 
  • Drive sales performance and identify opportunities and solutions
  • Maintain visual presentation and standards
  • Oversee safety and loss prevention standards & processes 
  • Communicate openly, collaborate and report directly to the founder, Dayna  
  • Manage product flow processes to the sales floor and online store. Partner with the Buyer/Operations Manager in inventory management. Execute markdowns processes as needed. 
  • Maintain an organized, clean store and back of house
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, brands, current trends and our marketing strategies. Assist with marketing tasks and buying as needed
  • Hire and maintain appropriate staff levels and availability. Onboarding new hires with initial and continuous training. Scheduling for the sales team including managing requests for time off. Manage manpower and payroll according to the changing needs of the business. 
  • Administer reviews and development plans for sales team, along with disciplinary action as needed
  • Lead the customer service for online store; manage customer inquiries, shipping issues and returns. Manage order workflow and issues. 
  • Build our community by assisting with planning for and hosting in-store events

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of previous management experience preferred in a specialty/retail setting
  • Must have excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities
  • Be able to multitask and wear many hats with a positive attitude
  • Be friendly and upbeat 
  • Have the ability to lead a team and create a culture of inclusion, teamwork and positivity.  
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be self-motivated, take initiative and be flexible and assertive. 
  • Must be dependable, trustworthy and consistent.
  • Experience with cash-handling and a POS is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Retail Associate

Prism Boutique is looking for enthusiastic and dependable individuals to join our team in the role of Retail Associate at our Long Beach boutique.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales and customer service in an energetic retail store setting.
  • Process credit card transactions using a POS system ensuring the accuracy of the inventory and POS systems.
  • Maintain product merchandising, replenish products, and keep the store looking clean and displays fresh.
  • Maintain a safe and clean retail store work environment. 
  • Assist with boutique events and general marketing tasks as needed. 
  • Communicate clearly with Store Manager.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, current trends and internal marketing campaigns. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of previous customer service experience a must in preferably in a specialty/ boutique setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, friendly, upbeat, and helpful demeanor is a must.
  • Experience with cash-handling and a POS is preferred.
  • Creative, self-motivated, assertive and takes initiative, dependable, trustworthy and consistent.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform all store opening and closing duties independently.
